Our shelters are designed and constructed with your protection in mind. They are reinforced with fiber as well as steel rebar, and they are poured with a minimum of 6,000 psi concrete and weigh in at 12,000+ pounds. They meet or exceed  FEMA (Federal Emergency Management Agency) guidelines.

The steel mold used to shape the bottom shell of the shelter. Concrete rated at 5000 pounds per square inch is poured into the mold and then vibrated to reduce air bubbles and voids.

A bottom section out of the mold. The top and bottom sections are poured separately and then bolted together with steel straps. A waterproof mastic is used to seal the keyway/seam joining the two sections to prevent any water leakage.

Jarrell Storm Shelters can not predict actual performance of any structure for tornadoes or severe storms, but this design incorporates current knowledge to best protect the occupants. The engineer and fabricator shall not be obligated or liable for actual, incidental, consequential, or other damages to users of this shelter for any purpose, including those installing or maintaining thereof.
