Shelter Installation
The backhoe operator excavating to prepare for the shelter installation. Shelters are placed in the ground 48 to 52 inches deep so the door is just above ground level.
The boom truck lowering the shelter bottom into the ground. It takes a large truck to lift the shelter.
Once installed, the shelter is checked to make sure it is level and square to any adjacent structures.
Before the shelter is lowered, the dirt in the floor of the hole is smoothed by hand and checked for level as well.

The next step will be to apply the previously removed dirt to the back and sides of the shelter!

The dirt removed to install the shelter can be mounded around the sides and back, or it can be landscaped as seen here to complete the installation.
