The steel mold used to shape the bottom shell of the shelter. Concrete rated at 5000 pounds per square inch is poured into the mold and then vibrated to reduce air bubbles and voids.

A bottom section out of the mold. The top and bottom sections are poured separately and then bolted together with steel straps. A waterproof mastic is used to seal the keyway/seam joining the two sections to prevent any water leakage.

A completed shelter with primed steel door and turbine ventilator. Shelters are heated in the building to assure proper curing of concrete.
